Playing With E.Q.
WORKSHOP IS OPTIMIZED FOR BOTH REMOTE AND IN-PERSON FORMATS
Playing With E.Q.
Emotional intelligence - the ability to recognize and influence your own and other's emotions is the key skill underpinning leadership, collaboration, and creativity. Affecting remote work and retention, workplaces that lack empathy simply don’t learn or perform to their potential. Learn cutting-edge methods from the world of embodiment and neuroscience so you can better access recovery and flow using your mind and body.
Outcomes:
Frame the learning with a group exploration of the cultural and social imperative for empathy,
Learn the foundations of polyvagal nerve theory, mirror neurons and the science of creativity
Explore cultural norms around emotional expression
Practice naming and regulating emotions using interactive games and storytelling
You will walk away with a feeling of ease and wellbeing, a piece of art that expresses a story you are willing to share about empathy, and practices to cultivate emotional intelligence in life and work. This workshop is based on the science of Dr Marc Brackett, Yale Center for EQ, and weaves in the role that culture plays in socializing emotional norms.
